At Raating.com, we ask all users to contribute respectfully and honestly. Reviews that contain the following types of content are not allowed and can be flagged for removal or investigation:
Reviews that include harmful or illegal material will be removed once identified. This includes:
Hate Speech or Discrimination: Content targeting individuals or groups based on identity factors such as race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, or other personal attributes.
Terrorism or Extremism: Posts that promote hate groups, extremist ideologies, or deny verified hate crimes.
Threats and Violence: Any content glorifying violence, threatening harm, promoting abusive or gang-related behavior, or encouraging self-harm.
Obscene Material: Reviews containing extreme profanity, graphic adult content, nudity, or disturbing images.
Defamation: False statements that damage a business or individual’s reputation causing significant financial harm. Only businesses can report defamation claims.
When flagged for harmful or illegal content, reviews may be temporarily hidden while we investigate to ensure community safety and comply with legal requirements. Reviews flagged for other reasons typically remain visible during review to maintain fairness.
Reviews must not reveal private information about others, such as employees’ names, contact details, or images without consent. This protects the privacy and safety of everyone involved.
However, information publicly available on a business’s profile, in replies, or on their official website is allowed. You should avoid including your own personal info publicly, but if you do, you can edit or contact us for help.
Reviews should focus solely on your personal experience with the business. Content that promotes unrelated businesses, products, political or religious views, scams, or spam is not permitted. Examples include:
Unsolicited ads or promotional codes.
Reviews pushing political, religious, or social campaigns unrelated to the business.
Scams like “get rich quick” schemes or offers of incentives for writing reviews.
Spam or nonsensical text.
Misinformation, impersonations, or AI-generated fake content.
Mentioning a competitor or another business in a relevant way is allowed, but keep your review focused and informative.
Your review must reflect a real interaction with the business. Fake or misleading reviews are prohibited. Raating.com uses automated tools to detect suspicious reviews, and businesses may flag those they believe are not genuine. If asked, you might need to provide evidence of your experience.
Before posting, double-check you’re reviewing the correct business and its specific location or domain. We can remove reviews placed on the wrong profile or move them if they clearly relate to another branch or website of the business.
Reviews that lack detail or do not specify the business name won’t usually be removed but may be less helpful to others.
We encourage all reviewers to provide clear, relevant, and honest feedback to keep Raating.com a trusted community.
If you see a review violating any of these guidelines, please flag it so we can review and take appropriate action.
At Raating.com, fairness is key. Our guidelines apply equally to everyone, no matter who or what the review is about, and whether a business uses our paid services.
If your review breaks our rules or if the law requires it, we will remove it. Examples include reviews with offensive content, promotion of scams, or sharing private addresses.
Importantly, businesses cannot control which reviews get removed — we won’t delete a review simply because a business disagrees with it.
If your review is flagged, we might ask you to update it or provide proof of your experience to help us assess it fairly.
If you notice a business misusing Raating.com — for example, by requesting fake reviews or pressuring you to delete your review — please report it to us. You can do this easily by contacting our Content Integrity team through our Contact Form.
We take all reports seriously and will investigate thoroughly. When necessary, we’ll take appropriate action following our Actions We Take policy to keep the platform fair and trustworthy.
If your business has reviews on Raating, you can easily claim your business profile page. Claiming your profile creates a business account that lets you manage reviews, including replying to customer feedback. Although you can flag reviews without claiming your profile, having an account makes it easier.
Once claimed, your profile will show a “Claimed” badge, and you’ll get access to Raating’s free plan features. For advanced tools—like analytics or custom widgets—you can upgrade to a paid plan.
You can also add important details to your profile, such as a business description, opening hours, locations, and contact information. Make sure all information is accurate and matches how your business is presented elsewhere, like on your website or storefront.
If you have multiple Raating profiles—for example, due to rebranding or mergers—you may be able to merge them into a single profile. This helps customers find your business easily and simplifies review management.
At Raating, we want to maintain a safe and trustworthy community. Some businesses may be removed from Raating if they cause harm or don’t align with our values and core principles. We refer to these as “bad-fit” businesses, and in line with our Actions We Take policy, we will remove them from the platform.
If a business misuses Raating’s platform, we may also take other actions as outlined in our Actions We Take policy.
